Intermediate Classes

Students who enroll in intermediate classes delve deeper into the art form, emphasizing the development of their expressive and technical capabilities. By learning increasingly intricate adavus, jathis, and rhythm patterns, students expand on their basic understanding. A key element is abhinaya training, which helps students relate to the emotional core of Bharatanatyam and tell stories with nuance and authenticity.
Additionally, these workshops investigate the confluence of movement and sahityam (lyrics) and expose students to brief choreographies. Intermediate students improve their performances and develop a deeper comprehension of the narrative force of Bharatanatyam by emphasizing synchronization, grace, and emotional expression. At this level, the path entails both creative development and a greater understanding of the dance's traditions.
